The FinesseYourClaws brand was established in 2020 by Nail Artist Melissa Samuel. Originally from London, Melissa moved to the United States in 2015. She has always had a passion for art and started Nail artistry 12 years ago. After attending Nail school she quickly established herself as an Editorial Manicurist, having her work featured in Pride Magazine, and various other publications.

After moving to New York, Melissa was inspired by the culture, street style, and fashion. She decided to hone her craft, and managed a infamous Japanese Nail Art Salon in Manhattan. It was there she perfected her skills and learnt intricate Japanese gel techniques. After managing another Nail Art Salon in Brooklyn she decided to open her own.

The brand grew quickly, with her unique take on color and texture in Nail Art. Her clients range from social media influencers, entertainers, performers, and creatives, where they collaborate in a private studio, on one of a kind nail art.

Melissa has worked on campaigns with Moschino, Brandon Blackwood, and MCM, to name a few. She also established the ‘Mix n Match’ French tip style that heavily trends on social media. Featuring her original set on ‘Sza’ for the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine.

The FYC brand has grown rapidly, in a short space of time and we are excited to introduce Press On Nails, Charms, Gels, Nail Care and much more.
